Arts and Crafts
Cumbria and the north of England have a wealth of talented designers, artists and crafts people and all our properties, especially Hart Barn and Stone Cottage act as “living galleries” where samples of their work can be admired. Many interior fittings and furnishing have been commissioned for the properties, some even built and designed by Richard and we are delighted to introduce guests to the artists and source beautiful objects to take home.
Many local crafts people run courses which could be booked to coincide with your holiday, so if you fancy trying your hand at stone carving or weaving a willow stag, then do ask us for details
