Patterdale now has two brand new tennis courts situated on St Georges Field between St Patricks Church and the Sports pavillion. These super new courts will be ready for Spring 2022 and are in a uniquely beautiful location overlooked by Arnison Crag and Helvellyn with views of Ullswater. Concentrating on your serve could be tricky! They are run by the local community and guests can simply “Pay and Play” by booking a court online. The cost is £10 per hour and the courts can be booked in half hour sessions. At the time of writing you will need to bring rackets and balls, however a loan scheme is being considered – ask me for more details if this is of interest.
