Fusion – the dictionary definition is “blending of different things into one”. So take coloured glass, oak, sycamore; contemporary and traditional; an architect, glass designer and wood-turner – the result are the new doors in Willow Cottage.
Abstracted from the traditional door found in Cumbrian barn with arrow slit like vents, we designed an oak door which incorporated panels created by talented local glass designer Jo Vincent. The beautiful and tactile, wooden thumb latches designed by Richard were manufactured by Danny Frost with the final, delicate sycamore knobs turned by neighbour Keith Wilkinson.
